Talent Development Workshops

Rethink Workforce Development

According to McKinsey & Company (2018), in the manufacturing sector, the number of professionals such as sales representatives, engineers, managers, and executives are expected to grow. This will lead to growth in the need for social and emotional skills, especially advanced communication and negotiation, leadership, management, and adaptability.

The gig economy, artificial intelligence, and robotics are changing the future of work and with it, the workforce development strategy. In this evolving age of innovation, learning and development training must include soft skills as well as technological skills.  Organizations that offer opportunities for personal and professional development, thrive. Invest in existing talent, train, and prepare future leaders who will become your best brand ambassadors.

We know the talent in any organization has the power of choice. If they don’t feel valued, they will leave, and your competition will win. That’s why we created the Elevate Workshop Series. We curate content for the workforce of tomorrow. Through connections with corporations, Chambers of Commerce, and educational institutions, we lead virtual and on-site learning and development workshops that build social capital and soft skills.

The Authentic You.

Have you been encouraged to “bring your full self to work” but fear that is not what anyone expects? This session focuses on how to be authentically you because you are who they hired. In this workshop we will challenge your paradigm. Who is your authentic self? What does it mean to bring that person to work? Do you notice when you’re not “your true self?” Authenticity requires a blend of self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and personal style. We will explore each of those areas, how you show up in different audiences, and what one thing your peers would say is memorable about you. We will use that one thing to help you create your path toward the authentic you.

Self-advocacy.

Diversity and inclusion pundits and researchers tout the importance of allies and sponsors and we agree, BUT, you are your best advocate. No one can position you for the next opportunity without the script you write. We view self-advocacy as an essential tool to attain your career aspirations. What do you want? How do you present it? To whom? We focus on defining what you need, framing the ask, and presenting your perspective to the right decision-makers who can help you level-up. Attend this workshop and get tools to master a skill that will benefit you, your team, clients and family.

Effective Networking.

Networking is an art. It’s a balance of gives and gets, and if you focus on what you can give to your network, what you get will exceed your expectations. The larger and more diverse your network, the more valuable it will be to you and others. Using the 5Cs of Career Ascension Survey we will assess the efficacy of your networking strategy and identify necessary changes to achieve your career aspirations. This workshop will explore diversity through a broader lens and give you tools to build a My 5 Action Plan to be courageous, intentional, open, engaged, and ready to network.

Managing Up.

No matter what your title is or what box you occupy on the organizational chart, you path to success will pass through your direct manager…and quite likely a few other leaders. These people are your champions and to be effective, they need to know how to help you, what the challenges are, and how they can leverage their influence to make things happen. This workshop will help you assess your relationship with your manager: is this person a Courageous Champion, a Passive Sympathizer, or a Reluctant Resistor? Through a series of questions, we will help you define the best approach to partner with your leader and effectively manage up, task down, and lead across the organization. After this session, every meeting with a leader will end with, “This is what I need from you.“
